PETER CULLEN IS OPTIMUS PRIME!
It was confirmed at Comic-Con that Peter Cullen will be the voice of Optimus Prime in the upcoming Transformers live action movie being released by Dreamworks. Peter Cullen was the original voice of Optimus Prime in the original (Generation 1) Transformers cartoon which aired in the 1980's. This was a huge deal for fans of Transformers all around as it showed that the studio execs may actually be paying attention to the very fan base they're marketing this movie to. This puts to ease some of the running jokes here at the Realm toys about Brad Pitt playing BumbleBee and Al Pacino playing Optimus Prime. The studio is currently ironing out some issues in getting voice actor Frank Welker signed on to the movie. Frank Welker was the original voice of Megatron in the 1980's Transformers cartoon series. Rumor has it that the movie execs weren't happy with Frank's audition. Kinda odd that they guy who originally played Megatron (among several other Transformers) isn't meeting their satisfaction to play a character he essentially created. Either way we're keeping our fingers crossed. Having the original voices for Megatron & Optimus Prime in the movie would be f'ing awesome to say the least! We've also managed to obtain one of the latest drafts of the script for the movie for you die hard fans that would like to read it.
