COMIC-CON COVERAGE: NBC HEROES PANEL
posted by: Alan & George

Does anyone remember a show on NBC, sometime in the 80's, called "Misfits of Science?" Well, it looks like NBC is helping bring superheroes into the real world again. The network premiered the entire pilot (uncut) of their new fall hit, Heroes, which will air Monday nights at 9PM. I must say that the show looks nothing less than mindblowing. I have great hope that this show will reach more than just us comic/ superhero fans. As Tim Kring put it, "I'm trying with this show not to be about genre." He mentioned how that's why you see no capes or other flambouyance in the show. He wants regular people to really be able to connect to these characters, an "easy entrance" into this world so that people can ask, "What if that happened to me," which I found myself asking throughout the premiere.

Look for more details AND cast member interviews later this week along with tons of pics from the panel!
