GET READY TO START LOVING TOYS AGAIN!!!
Now before I go on it's quite obvious we haven't reported on toys for a while. Most if not all of our news has centered around comic/ pop-culture news as of late. The core reason for this has been that quite frankly toys have been sucking ass these last couple of years. Unless you are a huge wrestling fan or love Yugioh (don't care if it's mispelled) the toy market wasn't for you. The only noteable lines which were cancelled were Mattel's MOTU Line, Hasbro's G.I. Joe: Valor vs. Venom 3.75" line, Toy Biz's Marvel Legends, and Hasbro's Star Wars line (which is still in production). Now this is great if you were a Star Wars collector. However if you were more of a well rounded collector there just wasn't anything out there for you. Sure the Marvel Legends line was nice, but everything else Toy Biz was putting out was just a re-hash of something they had already previously released. One of the biggest properties had been given up on by this toy maker. Towards the end there was no ingeniuty or creativity in the stuff that went into production. It was pitiful. Needless to say collectors like us were sent into a deep depression. Last night that all changed. Preview night kicked off last night and with the announcement earlier this year that Hasbro had acquired the Marvel License you can just imagine the first place we headed to. Hasbro spared no expense with their massive booth this year. A lot of their new Marvel items were on display.
All the new Marvel products on display were MIND BLOWING! I cannot find the words to truly describe just how amazing these toys are. They didn't just take work that Toy Biz had done and re-hash it. They actually took the time to sit down, visualize, and be creative with this incredible license they acquired. No detail was spared, from the actual figure itself to the packaging you can see that these lines were very well thought out. We will be uploading tons of photos tonight from the Hasbro booth as well as an exclusive Hasbro press event where some additional exclusive items will be displayed. Stay tuned to the Realm toys for your Comic-Con convention coverage! Be sure to check out our photo gallery for a look at the Hasbro booth from the show
