Thats right! ZACK! You know that guy Cloud thought he was for-like, ever! Square-Enix has announced that they're going to make a prequel to Final Fantasy VII starring, not Cloud, but Zack for the PSP.
In FF7 (Final Fantasy VII) Zack was an elite soldier for the corporation called Shinra- whose sick and twisted deeds shaped the future for this character and others.
Cloud has his part this too. In both games he is a friend to Zack. And if you've played FF7, you know how everything went down for them. They have also made a whole new character named Angeal. All we know of this person is that they are a fellow soldier to Zack, We think he/ she (they haven't made it clear as to which this person is) may be superior to him, and he/ she wields a sword way too similar to Cloud's sword in the original game. Sephiroth is, of course, in this one. He's the main villain. Tseng, the leader of the Turks in FF7, makes an appearence as a high ranking member from the Turks.
Gameplay has been kept under wraps. Though the Director, Tesuya Nomura, has stated that gamers will be surprised by two features of the game. First the high speed action that puts you into the soldier's shoes and second the game will feature a some what "different" gameplay system currently being kept under wraps. He plans to show game play at the Septemeber Tokyo Game Show. So keep your eyes open. It looks like a Goodie!!
